You must be wondering what’s behind Charice Pempengco’s doe eyes and powerful voice – I know I am. Her mother pala worked in a garments factory while Charice was studying and was joining over 80 singing contests. Whew! Now look at where it got her! Well, she is slowly getting there without the help of her father, who she has not heard of in 12 years. Sad story, but at least she’s famous now.
